Outline:
The Australian & Underground FMX Championships (AUFMXC) is a five round FMX competition series running from May through October and will cater for both Pro and Underground riders. The series will comprise of two championships within the one series. It will give the top Australian based riders an Outright Title to fight for whilst also providing a stepping stone Underground Title for the up and comers to fight for and progress their riding career.

Outright Championship:
All riders competing in the 2012 AUFMXC, regardless of their “Pro” or “Underground” status, will have their championship points from every round counted towards the Outright Championship.

Underground Championship:
For a riders championship points to also count towards the Underground Championship they must fit at least one of the following criteria:
- Be 19years of age or younger.
- Be a fulltime student (uni, tafe, school ect.).
- Riding is NOT your main source of financial income.
The Underground Championship is also no longer eligible to riders who have already won and Underground title. The promoters hold the final say on who is eligible for the Underground Championship and who is not. To avoid riders sneaking through the cracks and “trophy hunting” the promoters may eject any rider from been eligible for the Underground Championship for any other reason they see fit.
